Q. Can’t I just go out and by a <insert brand> access point at the local store and be done with it?

A. Those devices aren’t designed for business use. If you need reliable wireless that actually SUPPORTS your business, you need something that will actually handle the capacity. The consumer grade devices easily overload with just two or three users and just aren’t designed to handle business communications. Businesses need and deserve better.

Q. I always hear “business-grade” WIFI is expensive to deploy. Is this true?

A. In the past, yes – absolutely. Most of the business-grade manufacturers still charge an extreme premium for their hardware – then charge extra for features. We chose to partner with Ruckus. Their access points and controllers perform better (ie more bandwidth and more range), are easier to manage AND have a price point that is usually HALF of the other manufacturers. So now – the answer is NO – business-grade WIFI doesn’t have to be expensive.

Q. Is this assessment and site survey really free?

Yes. We provide a free, no obligation assessment , site survey and a proposal to install WIFI in your business. The only thing we require is that you keep our proposal confidential. It is prepared for you and contains proprietary information about our VoIP solutions.

Q. What do you do during your assessment & site survey?

To begin with, we meet with you and discuss your needs. We discuss your current system, if any, and any areas where it isn’t meeting your expectations. We then:

• Perform a complete assessment of your existing infrastructure including switches, wireless access points, cabling and distribution
• Assess the construction materials, walls, mirrors and other sources of interference present in your facility
  Assess the different user groups that will utilize wifi – be they employees, vendors, customers, students or visitors
• Assess your existing business applications and goals to determine bandwidth requirements
  Perform a physical walkthrough with live access points to determine base signal strength and determine what kind of coverage we can expect with the current construction and level of interference in your building
• Demonstrate the product and educate key staff members (Information Technology staff) on the basic operation and maintenance of the product
